What Is The Brass Plate

Overview

Brass plate is a widely used lead brass with good mechanical properties and good machinability. It can withstand hot and cold pressure processing. It is used in various structural parts such as gaskets and linings for cutting and stamping. Set and so on. The tin brass plate has high corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, and good pressure workability in cold and hot state. It can be used for parts and conduits of corrosion resistant parts of ships and mediums such as steam and oil.

Use

It can be used for all kinds of deep-drawn and bent parts, such as pins, bolts, washers, nuts, conduits, barometers, screens, radiator parts, etc. It has good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, good plasticity in cold state, good machinability, easy fiber brazing and welding, and corrosion resistance. It is a common brass variety widely used.

Characteristic

Good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, plasticity in cold state, good machinability, easy fiber brazing and welding, corrosion resistance, but easy to produce corrosion cracking, low price, is the most widely used ordinary yellow Copper variety.

Application range

All kinds of deep-drawn and bent parts, such as pins, rivets, washers, nuts, conduits, barometer springs, screens, radiator parts, etc.

History

Since we don't know what methods the ancients used to smelt zinc or zinc ore, it is not clear about the use of H62 brass plates in ancient times. Zinc has a lower boiling point than copper. When heating copper, charcoal also heats the zinc ore, making it difficult to prevent the evaporation of zinc. The Romans may be the first to use this method on a large scale, but the smelting bronzes may have inadvertently produced the H62 brass plate before, because the difference between tin and zinc was initially clear. We should note that the H62 brass plate mentioned in the Bible is actually bronze; the Roman coin called Hughes is also cast from copper or bronze instead of the H62 brass plate. To complicate matters, they did use the H62 brass plate to coin, but at first the H62 brass plate was more expensive than copper or bronze.

However, from the Middle Ages, the H62 brass plate was a luxury before its unused pots and pans, only used to make monumental tombstones and the like. From about 1230 AD, the H62 brass plate was in the bronze statue of Archbishop Wilp in 1231. It is known that the original copper products made with H62 brass plates have been popular in Europe for about 300 years. Because they are much cheaper than large sculptures. The process of casting H62 brass sheet products is as follows: first, the pulverized zinc ore and the charcoal are mixed with the copper block to heat, the zinc and copper are combined, and then heated to melt the alloy, and then the copper liquid is poured into the mold. The UK's original H62 brass plate was imported, mainly imported from Tourne. The client can order a complete tombstone from Turne that has been placed in a beautiful base or marble base.
